Carlos Glover

Carlos's life work is rooted in a deep commitment to the healing of self, community, and planet.

He is the author of Earth Wisdom Teachings: Practical Guidance from the Eight Directions of the Medicine Wheel, published by Inner Traditions in 2024. The book, a decade in the making, is both a tribute to his teachers and an offering to others. "My aim," Carlos says, "has been to support readers' healing and growth by evoking the deep states of consciousness that are inherent in us all."

At the heart of Earth Wisdom lies a profound teaching: we are interconnected with all that exists. Our development—both personal and collective—arises from how we relate to ourselves, to one another, and the greater powers of the Universe.

Carlos's journey began in the early 1980s in the Andes, where he first encountered indigenous teachings and the path of inner work. A canoe expedition through the Amazon awakened him to the devastating impacts of rainforest destruction, catalyzing his environmental activism. He began campaigning with Friends of the Earth, focusing on deforestation and climate change, while simultaneously deepening his exploration of self-knowledge through Buddhism, Ki-Aikido, Transpersonal Psychology, and Process Work.

These two threads—inner transformation and outer service—have guided him ever since, leading to the question that became the heart of his path: What is needed for humanity to live in harmony with the Earth and with each other?

The answer came through the Earth Wisdom Teachings. Carlos has since dedicated much of his life to studying and sharing these teachings, which he sees as a pathway to peace, both internal and planetary.

For twelve years, he participated in annual dry-fasting dance ceremonies led by Beautiful Painted Arrow, a First Nations visionary. These multi-day ceremonies — without food or water — opened doorways to transpersonal states and communion with the Unseen. Carlos now serves as Ceremony Point for the UK Drum Dance and continues to guide vision quests and transformational journeys internationally.

Since 2023, he has also contributed as a trainer to Evocative Leadership Mastery™, a global initiative focused on conscious leadership. "Humanity is facing profound challenges," he says. "ELM is a beautiful and timely offering for the evolution we're being called toward."

Carlos lives in the southwest of England with his wife, where they co-create spiritual and community-based projects, including a local interfaith initiative rooted in connection, reverence, and shared purpose.
